Coding Changes for 2023

Here are the dental code updates for 2023. Most offices will not utilize the majority of these codes, but there are some exciting updates: Membranes have been a challenge for many offices and insurance companies. The new membrane codes will help clarify coverage challenges between periodontal and surgical procedures.

Also, of particular note, is the new code for replacement of access filling material for screw-retained implant prosthetics and crowns.

Members, if you would like to see how insurance carriers are going to be treating these codes and whether you can expect reimbursement or not, please log in to see the supporting document to these coding updates. If you are not yet a member, join the community here.
